How to Use TitleForge AI (Plain-English Guide)
A simple, step-by-step handbook on how to name your lot photos, how multi-photo grouping works, how tokens are spent, and how to export catalogs directly into EasyLive or Excel.
1. How to Name Your Photos So TitleForge Knows Which Lot They Belong To
TitleForge includes smart filename deciphering so you can upload hundreds of photos at once.
You have three flexible ways to feed photos into TitleForge:
Option A: Single Photo per Lot (Most Common)
If each lot only has one photo, simply name the file after the lot number:
TitleForge reads the number at the beginning or end of the filename and automatically assigns it to that exact lot number.
Option B: Multiple Photos for 1 Lot (Front, Back, Hallmarks)
SAVES CREDITSFor high-value antiques, watches, jewellery, or ceramics where you took photos of the front, back, and hallmarks/maker's signatures, name them with letters or descriptors:
✨ Why this is powerful: TitleForge automatically recognizes that all of these photos belong to Lot 1! It inspects all angles together so the AI can read hallmarks, dates, and maker stamps, and only charges you 1 single token for the entire lot!
Option C: Raw Camera Photos (No Renaming Done)
Just imported hundreds of photos straight off your digital camera or iPhone (e.g. IMG_0042.jpg, DSC_1012.jpg)?
You don't need to rename a single file! Simply select them in order. TitleForge automatically assigns consecutive lot numbers: Lot 1, Lot 2, Lot 3... based on your selection order.
2. How to Use the Website (Step-by-Step)
From photos to full auction catalog export in under 60 seconds.
TitleForge strictly follows traditional British saleroom conventions (e.g. Aluminium, Colour, Spanners, maximum 8 words, [Maker / Brand] [Object] [Specs / Era], strictly omitting subjective condition chatter or keyword fluff). Ready for instant import into EasyLive Auction, The-Saleroom, or print catalogs.
Click the large dropzone or drag files straight from your computer folder. You can upload up to your daily free balance (10 free lots daily) or any tokens you purchased.
TitleForge's parallel vision AI inspects materials, hallmarks, model numbers, maker marks, and compares them against UK market comps to determine accurate titles and realistic Low & High auction hammer estimates.
All generated lots appear in the live table. You can click into any text box to tweak a description. When satisfied, click "Export to Excel (.xlsx)" or "Export to CSV" to download the finished catalog sheet ready for import into your auction management software!
3. Where Do Past Lots Go? (The Catalog Archive)
Your studio stays clean while your full history is safely stored in the vault.
To keep your generation dashboard completely uncluttered, all past generated lots are kept in your dedicated Catalog Archive. In the Archive you can:
- Search all historical lots by keyword, maker, or lot number
- Inspect full-resolution photos in the lightbox
- View portfolio totals (Total Valuation Portfolio, Average Hammer Estimate)
- Batch export all historical sales into Excel or CSV anytime
